Our volunteer writing partners are people of different ages, life stages and religious, cultural and education backgrounds. They share the desire to learn more about the Holocaust and support survivors in telling their stories in the manner that was meaningful to them.
I was fortunate enough to help write the memoirs of two survivors. Each one had an enormous impact on me and as a result on my family and grandchildren. The connections I made with each of the survivors pushed me to continue to work with other Holocaust survivors. This made me realize how much we need to appreciate our everyday life and to not take anything for granted. It also made me realize the importance of bridging the generation gap with my own grandchildren. It was an honour to work with these survivors and to work with the Azrieli Foundation.
